Christine Fairweather is a member of the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA), the European Association of Horse Assisted Learning (EAHAE) and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She formerly delivered group therapy and individual interventions with dangerous offenders as a probation officer, before discovering equine-assisted therapy and completing her Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling. She is currently the managing director of The Horse Assisted Learning Organisation (HALO) and delivers both talking and equine-assisted therapies to people affected by trauma. She is undertaking postgraduate studies in integrative and relational supervision, and its application in equine-assisted practice.
